What a tech stack is
Your tech stack is the set of technologies your product is built with. The languages, frameworks, databases, hosting providers, and major libraries that, together, make the product run.
For most founders, this decision feels intimidating. There are hundreds of options. Strong opinions everywhere. New things appearing constantly. It’s easy to feel like you’re choosing wrong before you even start.
The good news: for most early-stage products, the stack matters much less than founders fear. Almost any reasonable modern stack will work for your first year or two of building. The bigger risk is picking something exotic or trendy that few people understand, not picking the “wrong” mainstream option.
