Two different ways to build the same thing
Five years ago, building a product mostly meant writing code. Either you wrote it yourself, or you hired someone to write it for you. There weren’t many alternatives.
That has changed. A whole ecosystem of no-code and low-code tools now lets non-technical founders build real, working products without ever opening a code editor. AI tools have pushed this further — many products that used to require engineering can now be assembled by anyone willing to learn a few platforms.
That’s opened a real choice. Should you build with no-code tools, or commit to a custom build? Each path has strengths, weaknesses, and trade-offs that don’t become obvious until you’re a few months in. Choosing on purpose, with eyes open, saves a lot of pain later.
