Most product teams spend a lot of time making their thing — and not enough time saying clearly what their thing is for.

That gap shows up everywhere. Landing pages that describe features without value. Sales decks that wander. Onboarding flows that assume the user already understands the point. Conversations that lose people in the first thirty seconds.

A value proposition is the short, sharp answer to a simple question: why should this person care? Written well, it does a lot of the heavy lifting in your marketing, your product, and your team’s decision-making. Written badly — or skipped entirely — it leaves everything downstream working harder.
