Founders are surrounded by prioritisation frameworks. RICE. ICE. MoSCoW. Value/effort matrices. Weighted scoring. Each comes with its own promise: feed in your features, run the calculation, get the right answer.
Most of these are fine. They’re also far more elaborate than the actual problem usually requires.
Prioritisation, at heart, is two simple questions. What matters most right now? What can we leave for later or never?
Frameworks can help you talk about those questions in a team. But the questions themselves don’t need a spreadsheet. They need honesty, focus, and a willingness to live with the decisions you make.
