Validation conversations and experiments produce a lot of raw material — quotes, observations, signals, surprises. Without a way to capture and structure that material, most of it slips away within days.
This template gives you a place to write down what you're hearing as you go. Treat it as a working notebook, not a polished report. The point is to make patterns visible enough that, when you're ready to make a decision, you can see what you actually learned rather than what you vaguely remember.
What to aim for
- A short profile of each user or test, captured close to when it happened.
- Direct quotes wherever possible — the user's words, not your interpretation.
- Behavioural signals: what they did, paid, or committed to (not just what they said).
