There's no universal threshold for "enough" validation. What counts as enough depends on the size of the commitment you're being asked to make, the stakes involved, the time it would take to find out you're wrong, and what your evidence actually looks like so far. A decision to spend six months building something requires more than a decision to run another week of conversations.

The most common mistake at this point is moving forward not because you have strong evidence, but because you've run out of patience and have collected just enough positive signals to justify what you already wanted to do. That's not validated — it's motivated reasoning.
