Having a launch idea and having a launch plan are very different things. Most founders know roughly what they want to do — they just haven't written it down with enough specificity to actually execute it. The result is a launch that feels improvised, leaves assets half-finished, and misses the support window when people actually need help.
A good launch plan is not long or complicated. It's a clear description of what you're launching, to whom, through which channels, backed by what assets, with a specific date committed to. It also covers the stuff founders often skip: what happens in the 48-72 hours after launch, how you'll handle early questions and issues, and how you'll know whether it's going well.
