Trust isn’t a feature, but it’s designed
Users don’t use products they don’t trust. They might try them once. They won’t stay.
Trust isn’t something you can ship as a feature. It’s the cumulative result of many small choices about how the product looks, what it says, how it behaves, and how it treats the user’s time, data, and attention.
It’s also fragile. Trust takes a long time to build and a moment to break. Once broken, it’s much harder to rebuild than it was to create in the first place.
Founders who pay attention to trust as a design problem — not just a feature problem — end up with products users stay with, recommend, and forgive when things go briefly wrong.
