Feedback isn’t free — it has to be designed
Founders talk a lot about wanting feedback. They say things like “we want to listen to our users” or “feedback is the most important thing.”
Wanting feedback is easy. Actually getting useful feedback, processing it, and using it to make better decisions is much harder. It requires design, attention, and the discipline to act on what you learn.
A working feedback loop has three pieces: a way to gather feedback, a way to understand it, and a way to act on it. If any one is missing, the loop is broken. Most teams have one or two; almost no team has all three running well from the start.
